Line 5393: During her time in prison, Bijnesh made significant use of the rehabilitation opportunities provided by IVF. Her dedication and leadership allowed her to mentor other incarcerated women, creating a positive effect. Her journey from learner to leader within the prison ecosystem exemplifies the core mission of India Vision  foundation— to empower and rehabilitate. Line 5394: Observations from the Home Visit: In March 2025, Bijnesh was released and a home visit was conducted to reconnect and assess her reintegration progress. The IVF team met her family at their home, including her husband and children. It was heartening to see a strong familial bond and a supportive environment. Her two younger sons have completed Class 12 education and are considering further academic. Meanwhile, her daughter Bhawna has successfully cleared the preliminary round of government competitive exams and is now preparing for the mains. She is focusing on exams such as the Staff Selection Commission and Combined Higher Secondary Level and stenography, showcasing the family’s commitment to education. Line 5395: Impact of India Vision Foundation Interventions: The family expressed deep gratitude for India Vision Foundation continued support over the years. She pointed out that the “fashion maker” machine in the prison remains underutilized and proposed that training be provided on how to operate it effectively. Additionally, she recommended diversifying vocational offerings beyond stitching and crochet, suggesting that courses in other trades could open more employment avenues for women. Lastly, she highlighted the potential for introducing embroidery workshops, noting that Pilkhuwa is renowned for its embroidery craftsmanship. She suggested that if inmates are given opportunities to work on embroidery for items like blankets, bedsheets and pillow covers, they would participate enthusiastically and with great interest.
